- Keep left (I always bump onto people because I'm going the wrong way. Also while crossing the streets, I usually look to my right but here the vehicles come from the left)
- Their train stations look like malls, fully airconditioned and the trains arrive at a specific time (you can see how many minutes until the train arrives at this particular station - cool!)
- They have tons of malls. I was walking the whole stretch of the Orchard road and I was in awe at the malls there. All of them do carry signature stuff - expensive ones at that.
- Most of their train stations do have connections to this malls that's why people don't go out the streets anymore to go to the malls.
- Not only do their train stations link to the malls but also some of the malls do have underpasses linking each other.
- The great Singapore sale runs from May 23 up to the month of June. If you are into this stuff, you can find up to 70% off of item prices. (For them that's cheap but for me it's not hehehe).
- It's actually safe to drink water out of the faucet. No boiling needed. (I drank it and I still feel fine so it's true.)
- You can actually see why this country is a first world country (If I remember it correctly). Just look at their train stations hehehe.
- People don't just cross the streets. They have this pedestrian signal on the stop lights to tell if it's already safe to cross the street. (Oh if you see people running across the street with the red signal on, that must be a foreigner hahaha).
- People don't normally beat the train doors when it's about to close. I've seen some but it's kinda rare hahaha.
- You don't have to pay another fee when you change trains. Unlike in other countries when you have to change trains you still have to go out and buy the ticket for that particular train. Here you just have 1 ticket for all the train lines and you don't have to go out to change trains. (Interesting!)
- The escalators on the train stations are faster than that of the malls. (I know coz I almost tripped a couple of times so I learned to hold on to the sides hahaha).
- Everything is Singapore is expensive (that is if you're a foreigner)
- Familiar restos here are the following: McDonalds, Burger King, Deli France, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, KFC
- At Burger King, the size of their kid's meal is the size of a regular meal in the Philippines (I was actually shocked when they told me that the drink is small but actually that's the one I'm used to in the Philippines). The largest serving they have there is like for two people already hahaha.
That's the only stuff I can think of right now. I'll update it once I remember something..
Enjoy the pictures.
